Does Anyone Even Want Christmas Cards From Donald Trump?
Wednesday, May 18th, 2011 by ernbauOk, I’m getting to the point now where I just want Donald Trump to stop all the garbage talk and shut up. Like, do something nice; say, worry about your list of who’s going to receive Christmas cards from him this holiday season.
Is The Donald really running for president or not or is he jealous that Charlie Sheen is getting all the publicity lately and he feels left out? Although I am a Democrat, I don’t necessarily take the Democrats side on things – it depends on the subject matter or circumstances or whatever. But this whole Obama “birthing” question that Trump has been bringing up ad infinitum is so ridiculous. Isn’t it a proven fact that when Barack Obama was born in August, 1961 that Hawaii had officially been a state for two full years? So what is the question here? If there were doubts about our president’s birth or a political opinion of Obama’s that Trump disagreed with, that would be fine for him to speak his mind. (That’s what America is all about.) But when the rhetoric gets silly and picayune, that’s when I get turned off.
Remember in the old days when—thinking of Donald Trump—one was interested in his business dealings, such as how much of Atlantic City did he really own? Or, how his marriage to Ivana (or Marla Maples or Malania) is/was doing? Or whether the New Jersey Generals (the football team owned by Trump) were actually going to steal Lawrence Taylor away from the New York Giants? Or, would his hair blow away in a stiff wind? You know, important stuff.
A person with the kind of wealth Trump has accumulated over the years is mind-boggling and I am sure he gives plenty to charity, as most anyone that rich would. But in the past decade, I think his ego has gotten the better of him, what with “Apprentice” and “you’re fired” and all of that garbage. First he was allegedly running for president of the United States, now he says he won’t be running, all the while criticizing Robert DeNiro as not being the “brightest bulb on the planet”. (Where is Joe Pesci when we need him?) I think he needs to take stock of what he’s doing and look at things from a slightly different perspective before he becomes a complete laughingstock.
