When Ashton and Demi Split, the Christmas Cards Suffer

Wednesday, October 12th, 2011 by giltho

It seems as though Hollywood is built on rumors. The more scandalous the rumor, the more interested the public seems to be.  If the latest Hollywood rumor is true, then it seems Ashton Kutcher & Demi Moore may not be sending out Christmas cards as a married couple soon.

Ashton Kutcher Demi Moore Christmas Cards

Is Ashton Kutcher being a bad boy, or is he still faithful to America's #1 cougar, Demi Moore?

Word around town is that the hottest cougar in Tinseltown lost her man, as Kutcher is rumored to have strayed from the nest into the arms (and bed) of another woman.  Of course, the couple is doing their best to downplay the rumors, with Twitter updates, even pictures of them out and about in public (they were spotted at a Kabbalah ceremony recently).

Their marital bliss may be in discord because of Kutcher’s resurgence to television.  After Charlie Sheen’s highly publicized meltdown, which led to his being fired from Two & a Half Men, producers of the show were eager to keep viewers tuned in to TV’s number one sitcom.  Rumors (it’s always rumors!) swirled as to who would replace Sheen, and a host of men were poised to take Sheen’s place, most notably John Stamos.  But in the end, Kutcher was cast, marking his return to television after his breakout role in That 70s Show and Punk’d (a show of his own creation for MTV).  And it seems as though the producers’ decision worked wonders: the show debuted with 27 million viewers, and viewership for the show has not dropped significantly since Kutcher moved in.

To be honest, Demi Moore’s resume has been a little sparse since her marriage to Kutcher.  She showed off a trimmer, hotter physique in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, and she has most recently teamed up with Lifetime for their “Five” campaign for breast cancer.  But since her marriage to Kutcher, Moore has been more of tabloid fodder than actual working actress.  Could her hubby’s newfound success in television be the cause of the strain in their marriage?

For my part, I don’t want to believe the rumors.  Sure, I was a little taken aback when the couple began dating, but I was impressed with how well they handled themselves, and it was sort of nice to see how Demi maintained a relationship with her ex Bruce Willis, who is the father of her children.  They all got along really well, like an unconventional, happy Hollywood family.  And for them, it seemed to work!  In the end, let’s just hope that these are nothing more than rumors.  Pesky, pesky rumors.

Christmas Cards From One of the Sexiest Bald Celebrities

Wednesday, August 24th, 2011 by dalaga

A consummate actor and businessman, Bruce Willis has an enduring appeal to both male and female moviegoers. Bruce is considered a family man and I’m sure his Christmas cards would include his three daughters. Sounds good, but I would love to have a Christmas card with Bruce when he was bald-headed and grinning. Oh yeah, that’s how he looks now, so maybe we could have him send out “then and now” Christmas cards. I, for one, would love to see that grin in a baby pic. For some reason that “I’m up to something, but you gotta love me” grin just makes me melt.

Bruce Willis Christmas Cards

Christmas cards from Bruce Willis? We could certainly "Die Hard" over those!

Bruce Willis was born on March 19, 1955 in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany. His mother was German and his father an American soldier. Willis was the first of four children. His parents moved back to Penns Grove, New Jersey in 1957. Bruce’s parents separated in 1972 when Willis was in High School. After working at several jobs locally, Willis enrolled in drama at Montclair State University. Willis left school in his junior year to move to New York City to pursue his acting career. He appeared in the off Broadway plays, Heaven and Earth and Fool for Love. He also gained exposure in a Levi’s commercial before heading to California for fame and fortune.

Willis was chosen out of 3,000 aspiring actors for the role of David Addison, Jr. in Moonlighting, which lasted for five years. He has since acted in more than 60 films including the Die Hard series, which was a commercial and critical success! He also successfully started the Planet Hollywood restaurants with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. Willis is involved in various other businesses and has a variety of real estate holdings.

Willis married Demi Moore in 1987 and they have three daughters – Rumer, Scout and Tallulah. They divorced in 2000, and Willis considered this his biggest failure. He remains friends with Demi, with whom he shares custody and her husband, Ashton Kutcher. Willis married Emma Heming in March of 2009. He is sometimes an active Republican, and is strong in supporting U.S. troops, going so far as to visit the troops in Iraq.

I don’t think I will ever get my dream Christmas cards from Bruce, but he remains on my list of best of the best in personality, and yes, “the IT factor.” Yippey-Ki-Yay Bruce Willis!!!

Christmas Cards from Bruce and Demi’s Offspring

2005 spoof on Christmas cards sent by the Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, who are better known as Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's daughters.

A 2005 spoof on the Christmas cards sent by Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, who are better known as the daughters of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore.

With names like Rumer, Scout and Tallulah, one can only imagine what sort of holiday cards would be interesting and attention-grabbing enough for the Willis/Moore girls to send out. Do holiday card companies even make special cards for people who follow Scientology? Probably not. I am sure if one did, it would be a front runner in the Celebrity Christmas cards business. Instead, we found this hilarious spoof of a homemade card from 2005 featuring a photo of the three girls together. The holiday card looks well enough made, and could be a top contender for the Willis/Moore not-so-nuclear or traditional family. It features an ever-classic candy cane border with a pink and red theme. The card also has a note written on it, presumably written by the girls, and includes classic hipster phrases such as “OMG” and “as if!” No mention, of course, of any scientology beliefs however…maybe they’re saving that for next year!

In this day and age celebrities continue to seek attention by giving their children bizarre names. One may ask where the inspiration came from for Bronx Mowgli, Apple, and Suri. Probably from the original trendsetters of this former faux pas – Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, who creatively named their daughters Rumer Glenn, Scout LaRue, and Tallulah Belle. Bruce and Demi are apparently okay with their daughters having names that sound like gossip-spreading cows.

However, maybe one should not question their daughters’ names, especially after reviewing the current relationship statuses of Bruce and Demi. I know that sounds a little harsh, but it’s true, isn’t it? Demi is a beautiful woman who has aged well over the years. If you need that information confirmed, just ask her husband, Ashton Kutcher, who just so happens to be 16 years younger than her. Bruce Willis recently remarried on a Caribbean island to a 30 year old model, Emma Heming, who is almost half his age. The age difference between Ashton and Demi’s oldest daughter, Rumer, is only ten years. Clearly the step-parents and step-daughters will get along because they have more generational similarities than the wife/mother, Demi, and the husband/father, Bruce. Am I the only person who thinks it’s a shame that Demi Moore’s daughters don’t look more like her? Bruce is a good looking man, but he’s precisely that – a man. His daughters definitely look more like him than Demi.
