A consummate actor and businessman, Bruce Willis has an enduring appeal to both male and female moviegoers. Bruce is considered a family man and I’m sure his Christmas cards would include his three daughters. Sounds good, but I would love to have a Christmas card with Bruce when he was bald-headed and grinning. Oh yeah, that’s how he looks now, so maybe we could have him send out “then and now” Christmas cards. I, for one, would love to see that grin in a baby pic. For some reason that “I’m up to something, but you gotta love me” grin just makes me melt.

Christmas cards from Bruce Willis? We could certainly "Die Hard" over those!

Bruce Willis was born on March 19, 1955 in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany. His mother was German and his father an American soldier. Willis was the first of four children. His parents moved back to Penns Grove, New Jersey in 1957. Bruce’s parents separated in 1972 when Willis was in High School. After working at several jobs locally, Willis enrolled in drama at Montclair State University. Willis left school in his junior year to move to New York City to pursue his acting career. He appeared in the off Broadway plays, Heaven and Earth and Fool for Love. He also gained exposure in a Levi’s commercial before heading to California for fame and fortune.

Willis was chosen out of 3,000 aspiring actors for the role of David Addison, Jr. in Moonlighting, which lasted for five years. He has since acted in more than 60 films including the Die Hard series, which was a commercial and critical success! He also successfully started the Planet Hollywood restaurants with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. Willis is involved in various other businesses and has a variety of real estate holdings.

Willis married Demi Moore in 1987 and they have three daughters – Rumer, Scout and Tallulah. They divorced in 2000, and Willis considered this his biggest failure. He remains friends with Demi, with whom he shares custody and her husband, Ashton Kutcher. Willis married Emma Heming in March of 2009. He is sometimes an active Republican, and is strong in supporting U.S. troops, going so far as to visit the troops in Iraq.

I don’t think I will ever get my dream Christmas cards from Bruce, but he remains on my list of best of the best in personality, and yes, “the IT factor.” Yippey-Ki-Yay Bruce Willis!!!

We all know Arnold Schwarzenegger has been a very bad boy. Besides his reportedly numerous dalliances, he fathered a love child with housekeeper Mildred Baena. In fact, their “love child” was born only one week after his wife Maria Shriver gave birth to their youngest son. So the question remains, if Arnold and Maria don’t patch things up, will Mildred and son become the new family on the Christmas cards?

It doesn’t seem very likely. Mildred claims that her affair with Arnold was short lived, and has filled her with guilt. She says that she broke down when confronted by Maria about the son who bears a striking resemblance to Arnold. According to Baena, when she finally confessed to Maria “She was so strong. She cried with me and told me to get off my knees. We held each other and I told her it wasn’t Arnie’s fault, that it takes two.” Baena also says she empathizes with Arnold and wishes him no ill will “He’s a good man and I know he’s suffering too. He loves Maria. I hope with time they work things out.”

So, Mildred and her son may not be the next family Schwarzenegger, but at last it’s all out in the open. Everyone can move forward with their lives, at least until the next secret “love child” is uncovered!

Now that Arnold Schwarzenegger has admitted to fathering a son after having had a “dalliance” with a member of his household staff, it would be interesting to see once his now-on-hold movie career resumes, what “remakes” he might star in which could presumably vault him again to the top of the box office charts.

“The Christmas Card of 1941” – In the wake of the attack on Pearl Harbor, a soldier and his best girl worry whether they may be spending their last Christmas together.  Arnold would be the soldier while his girlfriend could be played by soon-to-be ex-wife Maria Shriver, in the remake whose title could be changed to “ The Christmas Card of 2011”, ensuring they would NOT be spending Christmas together or exchanging Christmas cards ever again.

“It’s a Wonderful Life” – Arnold could play the part of George Bailey, only in this version the angel just lets him jump off the bridge anyway.  (He would deserve it.)

“Back to the Future” – Marty McFly (played, of course, by Arnold) escapes from the Libyans and is propelled back to 1955 where, thankfully, he stays.

“Commando” – Reprising his role as John Matrix, older and more-wrinkled, he is again the target of every conceivable type of weapon—bullets, grenades, Uzis, you name it—but only this time hiding behind a sticker bush doesn’t protect him, and he expires within the first 10 minutes of the movie.

“The King’s Speech” – The remake would be renamed “The Governor’s Speech” and it would be about Schwarzenegger again becoming the governor of California, only this time he is forced to go to a speech therapist (who happens to be a beautiful female) since his constituents have trouble understanding him.  After many late-night, exhaustive sessions, no solution to his problem is found and he is forced to resign in shame after the therapist gives birth to his child.

If anyone would think that any of these juicy roles would catapult Arnold Schwarzenegger into Oscar consideration, I would think that rather than having any chance of being awarded the 8-pound gold statuette, he would almost assuredly be given a loud Bronx cheer.   Hasta la vista, baby!

2008 Christmas cards sent by Governor Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver. The design was created by Dennis Francesconi, a member of the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists.

For 2008, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife Maria Shriver kicked off the Christmas season with the theme “WE Celebrate.” This theme celebrates California’s bravest and most inspiring individuals who represent the strength and perseverance of California’s people. With that being said, the Governor and the First Lady spread the Holiday cheer with these Christmas cards designed by a member of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists – Dennis Francesconi. Francesconi’s acrylic painting, entitled “Christmas Night,” depicts an exquisite Christmas tree adorned with ornaments standing majestically in a starry night sky surrounded by brightly colored presents.

Schwarzenegger and Shriver’s personal greeting inside is a wish not only for peace within yourself, but also for peace in our country and throughout the world. These beautiful Christmas cards were sent by the Governor and the First Lady to more than 9,000 people, which included 4,500 members of the California National Guard stationed overseas.

Dennis Francesconi, who is a quadriplegic and is wheelchair-bound, painted this picture with his mouth. Dennis was injured almost 30 years ago at the age of 17 in a water skiing accident. Dennis first learned to write with his mouth and then later on learned to paint with his mouth. He was invited to exhibit some of his work on the website of the world renowned Saatchi Gallery London. This website was formed 20 years ago and is best known for the innovative forum it provides for established and upcoming contemporary artists. He also had several images published in the November issue of Parent Guide Magazine. The magazine also published a very informative article about the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists.
